Developer: Advanced Web Part development in SharePoint 2010
Have you already written a few SharePoint web parts and are now looking to do more advanced things? Are you looking for ways to make your web parts behave more like web 2.0 Internet sites like Facebook? Wondering how to write code that will work in multi-tenant or cloud systems like Office 365? Custom Web Parts development has been a staple of SharePoint application development since 2001. This session focuses on Visual Studio 2010 enhancements for SharePoint 2010 Web Part developers, such as Visual Web Parts, the Web Part Page Services, AJAX Web Part connections etc. Advanced topics such as sandbox Web Parts, connections to Service Applications, and writing web parts that work on SharePoint Foundation and SharePoint Server 2010 will be discussed as well. Attendees will learn about and see see multiple code samples for advanced concepts like incorporating AJAX into their web parts and connecting to service applications. Attendees will receive a copy of all of the source code used in the session.
