Administrator/Architecture: This session will cover the basics of creating a SharePoint Permission Level and some reasons why you would want to create custom levels in your environment. Security and access to content in corporate SharePoint environments is important. SharePoint Administrators are often asked to implement controls that don’t align directly with out-of-the-box permissions.
In this session I will discuss how to take the stress out of those requests. We will cover Permission Inheritance, Best Practices, and one specific example in a step-by-step “how-to” session on creating a Custom SharePoint Permission Level via both the SP interface and using PowerShell.
