Working primarily with enterprise clients not wanting the out of the box look and feel a new respect has been created for people that do SharePoint branding as a career because it’s so complicated and requires a good technical understanding and a delicate touch to pull it off. “Getting down and dirty with SharePoint branding“ is a phrase that I’ve come up with after doing a couple SharePoint branding projects with the latest version of SharePoint. How to brand a SharePoint site really determines what flavor and templates are being used and this is only one of the difficult parts of the whole process.
This session is going to look at some sites that you might be surprised are SharePoint; I will discuss some of the challenges faced on more recent projects.  I will cover moving your branding project from SP2007 to SP2010, what you need to prepare for and what to expect when they flip the switch.  We will cover masterpages, css and anything else that is relevant to branding.
