Aaron is a SharePoint consultant and developer with OBS in Melbourne. Aaron has worked as a developer on a number of OBS’s biggest SharePoint 2007 projects.

After years of working with SharePoint as a consulting developer, Alistair looked at the other side of the Office System and joined Microsoft as a Technology Specialist for Office. Alistair works with organisations improve their productivity and collaboration capabilities.

Ben is Principal SharePoint Consultant with Stargate Global Consulting. He began in the IT industry back in 1999, and has filled a number of roles during his career. Starting as a software tester he then made his way to a development role delivering BI, Custom Dev and SharePoint solutions. Ben is very active in the community including contributing on the MSDN newsgroups and also as one of the organisers of MOSSIG (Microsoft Office System Special Interest Group) based on Melbourne.

Brian Farnhill is an experienced SharePoint developer, with several years of experience developing and implementing a range of SharePoint based solutions for several clients. He is an active member of the SharePoint community who blogs, assists in the MSDN forums and helps run the Canberra SharePoint User Group, where he is also a regular speaker. He currently holds MCAD and MCTS (WSS3 Development) certifications. Before becoming involved with SharePoint Brian was an ASP.NET developer who spent several years developing custom applications.

Chris O’Connor is a senior consultant with OBS, based in Melbourne. He has been using SharePoint since early beta’s of 2007, implementing various solution – covering publishing, custom coded webparts, and workflow.

Dean has over 18 years of experience gained both locally and internationally within the IT industry. The past 9 years in particular have been focused on technical consulting around SharePoint, .Net, BizTalk and related Microsoft technologies. Consistently visible through Dean’s career has been a passion for business process improvement and the positive impacts that companies may enjoy as a consequence.

Elaine has been working extensively with SharePoint since the 2001 version, including participation in RDP’s and other projects alongside Microsoft. She has been involved in all areas of projects including gathering requirements, assisting with governance, defining infrastructure and application architecture, solution development and training. Currently employed at OBS as an Architect focusing on delivering SharePoint solutions that meet customer requirements in a manner consistent with Microsoft best practices.

Garth is the General Manager for AvePoint Australasia and South Africa. With over 10 years experience in the technology sector, Garth has extensive knowledge of SQL programming, web development, and I.T. infrastructure management. Garth joined AvePoint in 2008 as Director of Sales and Engineering for the EMEA region. In early 2009, Garth assumed leadership of AvePoint’s Australian regional headquarters, where he works to accelerate delivery of AvePoint’s infrastructure management solutions to market, and promote SharePoint adoption throughout the region. For several years, Garth has spoken and presented at technology conferences, seminars, and industry symposiums throughout North America, Europe, and Australia.

Greg Low - is an internationally recognized consultant, developer and trainer. He has been working in development since 1978 and holds a Ph.D. in computer science. Greg is the country lead for Solid Quality Mentors, a SQL Server MVP and one of only three Microsoft Regional Directors for Australia. Greg also hosts the popular SQL Down Under podcast (www.sqldownunder.com) and is the board member of PASS (the Professional Association for SQL Server) responsible for the global chapter program. He speaks regularly at SQL Server events around the world and is one of a handful of people to have achieved the new Masters level certification on SQL Server 2008.

Hennie leads the K2 team in Australia. Before relocating from Seattle, WA to Australia in Jan 2009, he was the Chief Operating Officer for SourceCode Technology Holdings, Inc. ("K2") He joined K2 in 2002 from Accenture and led the establishment of K2's business in Asia Pacific and North America. Hennie holds a bachelor of engineering degree in electronic engineering. Hennie has held senior leadership positions in numerous Microsoft eco-system organizations and has lived and worked on four continents in the last decade. He is currently based in Sydney, NSW. He enjoys traveling the world and has a keen interest in people, technology, butterflies, orchids and scuba diving.

Joshua is a Microsoft Certified SharePoint specialist, with over 11 years experience in the IT industry. He has extensive experience delivering “real” business solutions, having delivered or been involved in over 100 SharePoint implementations using different components of the platform, across of range of different businesses and business functions.

Lewis Benge is a technology consultant with Orchard Marketing, Sydney. He specialises in solution architecture with Microsoft technology. Having worked in ICT for nearly 9 years, both in the UK, and Australia his skillset comprises primarily of SharePoint and ASP.NET with a niche skillset in Microsoft Commerce Server, although he has knowledge of various other Microsoft Platforms. He is a Microsoft Technology Specialist covering MOSS and has developed and deployed solutions in both an intranet and internet environment, he is now a regular participant in the Australian development and Microsoft online community, providing guidance, support, and evangelism whenever he can.

Neil Haddley is an entertaining speaker who used to tell people how cool SharePoint is for a living (working for Microsoft as a Technical Sales Professional). Rai Umair is a Principal Consultant with Stargate Global Consulting in Melbourne, Australia. Through his consulting, training, and writing, he helps businesses in Australia, use, and make better decisions about Microsoft technologies. He was an early adopter of SharePoint in 2005 and since then has participated or technically led a myriad of SharePoint projects with successful business outcomes, most notably the Rapid Deployment Programs for Microsoft, which have led to the very first Microsoft case studies for MOSS 2007 worldwide.

Steve has been developing products and solutions for SharePoint since 2003. He is currently working at Nintex as the Product Innovation Group Manager where he has worked on the innovative products Nintex Workflow 2007 and Nintex Reporting 2008.

Tim Kremer is the Director of Spyk Software and has lead the development of some of Australia’s largest SharePoint sites, including the intranet for the highest rating TV Station and the public site for Australia’s largest engineering firm.

Have done over 80 Sharepoint Implementations since 2003 from silo'd WSS sites to large MOSS deployments with Dynamics CRM & GP integrations. These are typically intranet/extranet style solutions with collaboration & content management, forms & workflow, search & business intelligence aspects.
