Call for Sponsors
Friday, September 04, 2009

After a huge success as the second SharePoint Saturday event in what has become a world-wide phenomenon, SharePoint Saturday Kansas City is back for its second year on Saturday, December 12th. We set the standard. Now we’re back, bigger and better, to show that Kansas City is a leading center for Information Technology and SharePoint Professionals.

The enormous interest in SharePoint as a platform, our ability to provide industry leading speaking talent and our gracious sponsors proved to be the recipe for success. We cannot express how important sponsorships are for SharePoint Saturday as they keep the event FREE for attendees while introducing them to new products and services. This also gives them a chance to meet with representatives of these products and services in a professional, yet casual, venue to really explore what the sponsors have to offer.

We have outgrown our previous venue as we expect much higher attendance this year. We need our sponsors more than ever to continue our growth and our success in helping the community of SharePoint professionals come together to achieve wondrous things.

This year we have two levels of sponsorship available – GOLD and SILVER.

If you are interested in sponsoring a specific item please fill out the form located here and email us back at sharepointsaturdaykc@gmail.com.

Sincerely,

SharePoint Saturday Kansas City Committee

Call for Speakers
Friday, August 21, 2009
We just confirmed a venue for SharePoint Saturday Kansas City for Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Johnson Country Community College Regnier Center in Overland Park, KS.

You may think to yourself, "December?  That's pretty far off..."  Well not really, because we all know that once the holiday season starts it can get pretty hectic.

Plus travel can get pretty costly in December.  We are planning to fill up 24 slots to cover topics for developers, administrators, architects, administrators, and those of you who have no idea what you are but you're awesome at what you do.

Unfortunately we do not have any INETA speaker compensation as they are restructuring the entire speaker program.  That means that we have no speaker compensation at the moment.  This may change as we get more sponsors.  We are trying to mirror a couple things that other SharePoint Saturday events have done this past year such as an "Ask the Experts" panel.

On top of it all, I also have a brewery tour setup for anyone staying through Sunday (13 December) of the Boulevard Brewing Company in Downtown Kansas City at 1 pm.

The abstract submission form is located here: Speaker Submission Form.  I understand that NDA prohibits you from submitting certain items and information pertaining to the 2010 platform if you so wish to submit a topic as such.  If you want to submit a session abstract please send the form to SharePointSaturdayKC@gmail.com.  The official deadline will be somewhere around the beginning of November.
