The call for speakers for SharePoint Saturday Denver, round 2, is now open! We're hoping to attract close to 300 people at this years Denver event to be held on August 7th, 2010. Whether you're a regular speaker or just someone with some good SharePoint experience that you'd like to share then we want to hear from you - Fill out the Call For Speakers Submission Form and email to gary@thelapointes.com.
We're planning on having a speaker dinner the Friday night before and we're also hoping to arrange a paintball event on the Sunday after so block your calendars - it should be a great weekend for all!

Our first SharePoint Saturday Denver was a great success, but now it's time to blow it out of the water.
For this year's SPSDenver, we'll have many MVPs plus some SharePoint Certified Masters (MCMs) and some popular speakers from around the country who you are sure to love. We plan to make this an incredible event with tons of great information, great speakers, great food, great sponsors, and lots of fun before, during, and after.
Please mark it on your calendars for August 7th, 2010, and we look forward to seeing you there!

SPSDenver Chairman Big News! Colorado SharePoint User Group (COSPUG) Unveiled Thursday, December 17, 2009
The new Colorado SharePoint User Group will have its inaugural meeting tomorrow on Thursday, December 17th at 6pm. Here is the flyer with details:
This will be a new, dynamic SharePoint User Group dedicated to building a community of people who work together, play together, and share together. We will have user group meetings in Colorado Springs, Denver, and Northern Colorado established sites and rotating sites. All regions will have their own meetings but will be tied to the overall COSPUG, which will have a consolidated SharePoint 2010 site that will provided tons of content to viewers, including all presentations from each user meeting and any sessions from other related events. Additionally, all of the Denver-based meetings that occur at AmeriTeach will be recorded and broadcasted live over LiveMeeting.
Another great benefit will be that the COSPUG has incredible vendor/sponsor support, which means we will also have extra-curricular COSPUG activities that don't even involve a user group meeting: happy hours, breakfasts, brown bag lunches, paintball, happy hours (yes, lots of these), and many other events - all occurring in each region and paid for by sponsors.

You can expect to interact with the same people who coordinated and executed the SharePoint Saturday Denver event, including the planning committee, the sponsors, and all of the attendees. It's shaping up to be quite a week for SharePoint in Denver. Quest Software - one of our SharePoint Saturday sponsors - is hosting a SharePint event at the Tavern DTC this coming Tuesday (12/8) from 5:30 - 8:00.
We'll be in the 'game room' with bowling and billiards, and Quest will be providing food and conducting a SharePoint 2010 Q&A session with a special guest, Joel Oleson.
Come out and meet some of the other local members of your SharePoint community in a great social setting that promises to be a lot of fun.

Wednesday, November 25, 2009 Call for Speakers Wednesday, November 11, 2009 SharePoint Saturday Denver is quickly approaching and there's not much time before December 12th so if you're interested in speaking please act fast! We've got the Microsoft facilities booked and are actively seeking those with some SharePoint 2010 experiences who would like to share their knowledge with others in the community. Our hope is to fill approximately 15 speaker slots covering 3 different tracks - developers, IT pros, and information workers. We also hope to fill in with some "Ask the Experts" type panels. If you're in the area on Sunday we're hoping to also arrange a day of skiing - should be a blast! The speaker submission form is located here: Speaker Submisison Form. If you want to submit a session abstract please send the form to gary.lapointe@sharesquared.com. The official deadline will be somewhere around the end of November.
