SharePoint Saturday Austin is a FREE event, open to the public, and is your chance to immerse yourself in SharePoint!

Bruce Weatherford - Organizer

Bruce Weatherford is an infrastructure and collaboration architect with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) whose responsibility covers general collaboration, enterprise social business and enterprise search. He has been working with SharePoint for over nine years, starting with SharePoint 2003 Beta, and has implemented it for a variety of uses (intranet, extranet, internet). AMD uses SharePoint for its largest internet facing sites such as www.amd.com.

Jim Bob Howard - Organizer

Jim Bob Howard enjoys contributing to the SharePoint community through his popular article series Extending the Data View Web Part and jQuery to the Rescue, speaking on the SharePoint circuit, and organizing SharePoint Saturdays in Austin, TX, and Nairobi, Kenya. He contributed a chapter entitled “jQuery to the Rescue,” to the new O’Reilly book, SharePoint 2010 at Work, published in February, 2012. Jim Bob is a Senior UI/UX Developer at Planet Technologies.

Justin Ong - Organizer

Justin Ong is a SharePoint Practice Lead for Catapult Systems and has been working with SharePoint since 2006. Justin has extensive experience with architecting and delivering ECM and Records Management solutions for SharePoint and has long been a champion for the end user. Justin also enjoys cooking and football, and is actually quite hilarious according to his 1.5 year old daughter.

Matthew Lathrop - Organizer

Matthew Lathrop is the SharePoint Evangelist and Infrastructure Architect for Rackspace. Matthew’s skills sets are centric on operational efficiencies, project and process management, procurement and enterprise negotiations. His current role at Rackspace as SharePoint Evangelist dedicates him as a resource to the SharePoint Support Team in all Customer engagements to help onboard new Customer while ensuring Best Practices with Farm scalability; physical, virtual or Cloud based infrastructure.

Richard Calderon - Organizer

Richard Calderon is a SharePoint Solutions Architect with Catapult Systems and has developed web applications with SharePoint products and technologies since 2003. Richard currently specializes in designing and implementing solutions for secure intranet and extranet portals as well as large-scale public-facing internet sites using SharePoint’s web content management (WCM) capabilities
